Support Our Mission

CORE aims to empower youth through transformational outdoor experiences that cultivate a spirit of personal growth, adventure, environmental stewardship, and leadership; inspiring a lifelong connection to nature and outdoor exploration while equipping young people with the skills and confidence to lead future generations.

To achieve this, we need a community effort. Here are some ways you can help build CORE for our community:

Make a donation

CORE is dedicated to ensuring that all families can participate, regardless of financial constraints. We recognize that equipment, transportation, and membership fees can often hinder access to outdoor activities and outdoor programs. To address this, CORE aims to provide a wide range of equipment for students to borrow, transports students to weekend adventures, and provided scholarships to families in need. As a new program, CORE is starting from the ground up, and any contributions you make will significantly help us build CORE from equipment inventory to future scholarships.

In-kind donations are welcome too! If you gear items like tents, backpacks, or canoes to donate, we would gladly accept them. However, please refrain from purchasing items for donation, as we are collaborating with companies to obtain gear sets at wholesale prices or lower.

Volunteer

Want to share some incredible adventures and be a part of transformational experiences? Do you have experience leading groups in the outdoor, experiential or camp setting? Love teaching and sharing your knowledge? Have a lesson inline with the mission of CORE and are interested in teaching? If so, we would love to meet you. Please email us to learn more about or schedule an opportunity to come see the program in action.

Transporting Students
While we work towards acquiring a vehicle for CORE we will need parents to drive students, this often looks like attending the trip too!

Foster Community Partnerships

CORE is available and willing to serve the community however we can! We need help connecting with service opportunities that can be accomplished by youth on Wednesday and Thursday evenings or weekends. There are a multitude of non-profits and business in Morganton doing wonderful things for our community. If you have a partnership opportunity please reach out! We are stronger together.
